Throughout history, roses have been adored by both men and women. They have long been a symbol of purity and love which is likely the reason they are a favorite wedding flower. Rose essential oil has a deep, rich, floral scent that is exotic and sensual. Along with its beauty, it has powerful properties that can bring skin relief to rashes, dryness and inflammation. It can help induce restful sleep, balance hormones, improve acne and boost mood while helping with anxiety and depression. It may relieve cramps with PMS and menstruation. Rose essential oil is pricey but well worth the expense. Remember, you only need a few drops at a time.
Blends well with bergamot, clary sage, geranium, jasmine, lavender, neroli, vetiver and ylang-ylang.
Anxiety/Depression: Diffuse 5 drops or apply 2 drops to each wrist. You can also put 11-15 drops in a warm bath.
Cramp relief due to PMS/Menstruation: Diffuse 5 drops or apply to your abdomen. Can be mixed with a carrier oil.
Skin (rash, dryness or inflammation): Apply 3-4 drops neat or with a teaspoon of carrier oil (coconut oil, jojoba oil, etc.) to the area. You can also add it to your body lotions and washes.
Sleep: Diffuse 5 drops or apply 2 drops to each wrist.
