Holy Basil, has a history of being a sacred plant and has many therapeutic properties. It has a rich, minty and spicy aroma. It has been used to relieve joint pain, reduce inflammation and boost the immune system. It helps support thyroid function, the nervous system easing anxiety, depression, and headaches, and it can be used to help manage blood glucose levels. It can also provide relief of congestion along with other respiratory symptoms, and help with adrenal fatigue.
Blends well with bergamot, chamomile, frankincense and lavender oils.
Anxiety / Depression: Diffuse 3 or 4 drops or rub a drop on each wrist, temples and back of the neck.
Also, you can rub on the soles of your feet.
Inflammation: Mix 4-5 drops with 1 tablespoon coconut oil and apply to the area of discomfort.
Immune health: Diffuse 3 or 4 drops. Mix 8 drops with 1 tablespoon coconut oil and rub on the sole of the feet.
Improve memory/cognition: Mix 3-4 drops with 1 teaspoon of carrier oil (fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, etc.) massage onto temples, wrists and sole of feet.
