Grapefruit has a clean, fresh scent that is uplifting and quite popular in aromatherapy.  It is capable in the elimination of toxins by stimulating the lymphatic system, helps cut food cravings, possibly can help with weight loss by supporting metabolism and reducing the appetite.  Due to its antifungal properties, it can help reduce yeast (candida), bacteria and recent research is showing it is effective in fighting urinary tract infections.   Emotionally, grapefruit is a great mood booster and support if you are nervous,  depressed or fatigued. As a household cleanser, it disinfects counters, cabinets and floors and diffused it will help get rid of foul odors and freshen the air.

Blends well with basil, black pepper, cardamom, geranium, lavender, neroli, rosemary

Uses:

Air Freshener: Diffuse 3 or 4 drops.

Boost metabolism: Put a drop or 2 in a glass of water or smoothie.

Depression/Stress:  Diffuse 3 or 4 drops.  Mix 8 drops with 1 tablespoon coconut oil and rub on the soles of your feet.  Place a drop on each wrist.

Reduce food cravings (especially good to reduce sugar cravings): Place 4-5 drops on a cotton ball and then apply to wrists, rub on the back of your neck, or inhale directly.

Safety:
Do not use if pregnant, nursing or taking medications.
If you have sensitive skin, be sure to dilute.
Be sure to check with your healthcare provider as grapefruit oil cannot be taken with certain medications.  Avoid direct sunlight for up to 12 hours after application.
